The Trani Biancone marble is an Italian marble with a beige/off-white background, very plain and world famous, extracted in the region of Trani, in the region of Puglia, in the South of Italy.Every work in Biancone is a little masterpiece, thanks to our master stonecutter wise work.
Trani Biancone's history goes far back.The term "biancone" was used to point out a layer of limestone with an extraordinary white colour different from other darker layers.
This hard limestone extends underground all over the north-western area nearby Bari up to the Gargano promontory and the Murge plateau. The extreme porosity of this material, which caused the nickname "Puglia sitibonda" (thirsty Apulia), directs almost the whole water circulation to the deepest groundwater levels, so that this lack of water circulation in the superficial layer of the subsurface favors the possibility of clay outcrop.

Quality Grade
We classify it into 3 grades:
Grade A: few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with width less than 2mm per piece;
Grade B: a few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with width between 2 and 5mm per piece;
Grade C: a few pink hair lines & some crystal lines with all different widths.
So the qualities will be like these:
1st choice: all grade A pieces, some pieces may not have pink hair lines but normally have crystal lines;
commercial choice ... with both grade A & grade B;
Low quality, with different qualities mainly for Mid-East market, certainly will have some bad pieces not accepted.

Professional Inspection
Before packing, our inspector will inspect all the goods' surface finish, thickness, and edge finish to see if they meet customers' requirement, one piece by piece. If the countertop need to be seamed, we will also put the seamed tops together to make sure the color and thickness are the same.
Loading
Experienced and professional workers will load the crates carefully to make sure the goods won't be easily broken. After loading, fumigated wooden bundles will be braced between each crate to strengthen its stability.
