The material we are introducing today is called Vitoria Regia. It is a great photograph of the above-described phenomena, with only one difference: several million years have passed between the formation of natural quartzite and the finished slab.
Over this long period of time, the rather fragile rock has been exposed to high pressure, apocalyptic earthquakes, earth movements, continental drifts, and, above all, to metamorphosis before it was transformed into a hard and compact material that can now be cut and processed, albeit being abrasive and acid-resistant.
However, it is surprising that, after all this time and despite the just-mentioned processes, the deposits of lava pillows have left their marks on the stone.
Vitoria Regia is a quartzite from Brazil from the federal state Espírito Santo.
This material belongs to a natural wonder, Vitoria Regia, a giant aquatic plant with large round leaves floating in the Amazon's muddy water.
The large circular shapes on the slab's surface recall this plant.
A closer look at the slab shows the glassy contours of the lava pillows, the deformations caused by the weight of so many stacked stones, and the matrix of silt and sand that cemented the bubbles into a unit.

Quality Grade
We classify it into 3 grades:
Grade A: few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with width less than 2 mm per piece;
Grade B: a few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with width between 2 and 5 mm per piece;
Grade C: a few pink hair lines & some crystal lines with all different widths.
So the qualities will be like these:
1st choice: all grade A pieces, some pieces may not have pink hair lines but normally have crystal lines;
commercial choice ... with both grade A & grade B;
Low quality, with different qualities mainly for Mid-East market, certainly will have some bad pieces not accepted.

Professional Inspection
Before packing, our inspector will inspect all the goods' surface finish, thickness, and edge finish to see if they meet the customers' requirements, one piece by piece.
If the countertop need to be seamed, we will also put the seamed tops together to make sure the color and thickness are the same.
Loading
Experienced and professional workers will load the crates carefully to make sure the goods won't be easily broken.
After loading, fumigated wooden bundles will be braced between each crate to strengthen its stability.
