The leather texture finish is a newer type of stone finish that has become more popular at Royal Stone and Tile in Los Angeles.   Most commonly seen on darker quartzite slabs this leather finish gives the stone a textured and undulated finish . While honed stone is smooth, leathered stone has a textured, pebbly surface with little pits and fissures that is close to the surface of a fine piece of leather. Leathered quartzite slabs can be more stain-resistant than honed granite and disguises smudges and water spots better than polished granite. Negresco Quartzite is a classical black quartzite with random white veins, dark black and grey color make it chiseled looks.
