Classic Light is a traditional, creamy travertine that decorated many ancient Roman and Byzantine buildings. It gives any space a timeless and historic look. It is also known as 'Navona'.

Travertine is a soft, porous, calcitic sedimentary rock, which, unlike other limestones, usually forms in caves or around thermal springs, when geothermally heated alkaline water with high mineral contents penetrate the surface and evaporate, leaving behind columns or stacks of calcium carbonate in the form of stalagmites or stalactites, often displaying a banded appearance due to the way it rapidly forms over other rock at varying intervals. Naturally white due to its calcite and carbonate composition, it can display other colourings due to the mineral content and staining during its formation. Used extensively by ancient empires from Egypt to Rome, both countries have remained the chief exporters of dimensioned blocks, slabs, bricks, sheets and veneers of travertine which is usually fairly cool and smooth to touch, with high quality variants able to accept a polish.


This smooth finished, classic, soft tone blonde travertine stone displays a gorgeous banding between light, golden blonde and sliver streaks, owing to its formation, with bands of deep scores and pores. It can be used internally and, if treated with a protective coating or polish, externally for flooring, patios, wall cladding, window and door surrounds, stairs, fireplace and bathroom surrounds, splashbacks and kitchen worktops, being slip resistant and a premium, highly decorative finishing material.

Quality Grade
We classify it into 3 grades:
Grade A: few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with width less than 2 mm per piece;
Grade B: a few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with width between 2 and 5 mm per piece;
Grade C: a few pink hair lines & some crystal lines with all different widths.
So the qualities will be like these:
1st choice: all grade A pieces, some pieces may not have pink hair lines but normally have crystal lines;
commercial choice ... with both grade A & grade B;
Low quality, with different qualities mainly for Mid-East market, certainly will have some bad pieces not accepted.

Professional Inspection
Before packing, our inspector will inspect all the goods' surface finish, thickness, and edge finish to see if they meet customers' requirement, one piece by piece. 
If the countertop need to be seamed, we will also put the seamed tops together to make sure the color and thickness are the same.


Loading
Experienced and professional workers will load the crates carefully to make sure the goods won't be easily broken. 
After loading, fumigated wooden bundles will be braced between each crate to strengthen its stability.
