Botticino Semi Classico is a beige marble from Italy. In natural stone trade, Botticino Semi Classico is often simply called a Marble.

The classic Italian polished beige geologic limestone, often referred to as a marble, in a selection offering minimal ochre veining accentuating the beige and cream tones.

The grain is very fine, with some rare white spots. The colour variation is minimal from batch to batch.

Botticino marble comes precisely from Botticino, an Italian town in the province of Brescia, at the foot of the Brescia Prealps. The quarries for the extraction of Botticino beige marble are also found in Nuvolento, Rezzato, Nuvolera and Serle: the extraction area of Brescia, in fact, is in second place in order of importance to that of Carrara as regards the excavation of ornamental stones. Depending on the quarry and the block, Botticino marble tile can have different appearances and colors: the color can vary from ivory white to beige and there may be a more or less frequent or marked presence of yellow ocher veins. Since there are about a hundred quarries of Botticino marble slab and Botticino marble price has seen a downsizing due to fierce competition (marbles from other areas called the same Botticino marble), the Municipality of Botticino and the quarries of the classic area have decided to establish a registered trademark (Consorzio produttori marmo Botticino Classico) in order to protect the area and certify the material coming, in fact, from the classic area of Botticino.

We classify it into 3 grades:
Grade A: few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with width less than 2mm per piece;
Grade B: a few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with width between 2 and 5mm per piece;
Grade C: a few pink hair lines & some crystal lines with all different widths.
So the qualities will be like these:
1st choice: all grade A pieces, some pieces may not have pink hair lines but normally have crystal lines;
commercial choice ... with both grade A & grade B;
Low quality, with different qualities mainly for Mid-East market, certainly will have some bad pieces not accepted.

Professional Inspection
Before packing, our inspector will inspect all the goods' surface finish, thickness, and edge finish to see if they meet the customers' requirements, one piece by piece. If the countertop need to be seamed, we will also put the seamed tops together to make sure the color and thickness are the same.




Loading
