Steel Grey, one of the most in-demand dark-colored granite in our inventory, was selected by our customer for this kitchen project. The leathered Steel Grey slabs were fabricated with ¼ inch bevel edge profile, and installed with a tile backsplash and an undermount sink in one of the counters.
Steel Grey granite consists of a black undertone with a mixture of medium-grey flecks and a sprinkling of light-grey minerals scattered throughout the surface. Its overall appearance is reasonably uniform with no large patterns or mineral deposits. In a room with a lot of light, the minerals will be more visible. It is amazing when they catch the light, creating a very exotic look and feel to the countertops.
Steel Grey is very versatile because it can pair with most colors of cabinets and accents. When paired with darker cabinets, the overall tone will be darker, but when paired with white cabinets, the light grey minerals will stand out.
Quality Grade
We classify it into three grades:
Grade A: few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with a width of less than 2 mm per piece;
Grade B: a few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with width between 2 and 5 mm per piece;
Grade C: a few pink hair lines & some crystal lines with all different widths.
So the qualities will be like these:
1st choice: all grade A pieces; some pieces may not have pink hair lines but typically have crystal lines;
commercial choice ... with both grade A & grade B;
Low quality, with different attributes mainly for the Mid-East market, certainly will have some bad pieces not accepted.

Professional Inspection
Before packing, our inspector will inspect all the goods' surface finish, thickness, and edge finish to see if they meet the customers' requirements, one piece by piece.
If the countertop needs to be seamed, we will also put the seamed tops together to make sure the color and thickness are the same.
Loading
Experienced and professional workers will load the crates carefully to ensure the goods won't easily broken.
After loading, fumigated wooden bundles will be braced between each crate to strengthen stability.
