Natural Marble, like Chinese Zebra Black Marble, is the most frequent representative of the vast metamorphic stone group transformed by high pressure and temperature at different depths of the Earth over millions of years, slowly uplifting into the mountains. Before marble became a marble, it was first limestone, which forms on the shores and floors of tropical seas. It was signed by its limestone mineral uniformity or variation, becoming the purest marble or the most exuberant in texture or color.
Classic white marble is pure calcite, a calcium carbonate mineral, without intervening in other minerals or inclusions to lend it other texture or color. Pink marble includes iron oxide, as is golden marble. The original fossil-rich limestone becomes graphite-infused marble with a grey to copper metallic glimmer in a regular or irregular banded pattern. Quality Grade
We classify it into three grades:
Grade A: few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with a width of less than 2 mm per piece;
Grade B: a few pink hair lines & 1-3 crystal lines with width between 2 and 5 mm per piece;
Grade C: a few pink hair lines & some crystal lines with all different widths.
So the qualities will be like these:
1st choice: all grade A pieces; some pieces may not have pink hair lines but typically have crystal lines;
commercial choice ... with both grade A & grade B;
Low quality, with different attributes mainly for the Mid-East market, certainly will have some bad pieces not accepted.
